Family Fun Day at Hurst Festival

Family Fun Day at Hurst Festival

Over 1,000 residents gathered together for the Hurst Festival at Cedar Park in Ashton and enjoyed a day of fun for all the family.

The free event offered something for everyone, with a circus skills workshop, festival face painting, bouncy castles and inflatables games. Visitors also enjoyed street food, an ice cream van, arts and crafts, dance performances, as well as a popular petting zoo.

The festival was organised by Smallshaw-Hurst Children’s Community, Cedar Park and Hurst Community Group, and Ashton United in the Community.   Our Jigsaw Foundation team also provided £3000 in funding to the Cedar Park and Hurst Community Group, helping cover the costs of delivering this year’s event.

Members of our Jigsaw Foundation team Tanuja Patel, Harry Schofield, and Julie McGlynn, also attended to promote our Jigsaw Rewards platform, and share advice on other Jigsaw Homes services.   Volunteer Christine Beresford said:

“This was another amazing day at Hurst Festival as always. Thank you to everyone who made it possible, and to all the volunteers, stalls, food vans, face painting and funders – thank you!”
